Anti-ICE rallies held in wake of ICE shootings ↗

In light of recent ICE shootings in Minneapolis and Portland, protesters gathered Saturday afternoon across the Capital Region. In Colonie, about 1,000 people lined the intersection of Wolf Road and Central Avenue, calling for ICE to leave local communities.

An approaching system from the south will send thickening cloud cover our way, but the bulk of the precipitation will hold off until after sunset Saturday. While many in the immediate Capital Region will see rain showers with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s, some in the hills and mountains will see sleet and freezing rain as surface temperatures get stuck just below freezing. Temperatures stay above average through the middle of next week, but a sustained chill is on the horizon where temperatures once again will struggle to get above 30 degrees for a few days.
